House location:
Our bed & breakfast place is located on a quiet country lane, off the main road, on a 2 acre large estate with a small pond covered with water-lilies
in June, and the GR 652 from Rocamadour to La Romieu is right at the end of our road. A 2 mn drive will take you to the shops (400 m) and a 5 mn drive will take you to the heart of the medieval
centre and restaurants (2 km)
The bedrooms:
Our 2 guest rooms are on the 1st floor (direct access from the entrance hall) and have private bathrooms (ensuite or on the same landing). Both rooms have views onto the garden or countryside.
Amenities:
Parking space is available on the property (even with caravan or trailer)
Free wifi available everywhere in the house .
Books (in French and in English ) and a few indoor games are available .
Tourist guides can be borrowed on request and various handouts and leaflets are available.
English is spoken fluently by Marie-Christine. (also a bit of German, but the latter is unfortunately a bit rusty!)
Our philosophy:
We are not a 3 star hotel nor do we want to be one. We have traveled a lot, in France and abroad, still do so whenever we can, and we just love meeting people, talking, exchanging and learning from others. Our house and our guest-rooms are part of who we are and we like to welcome our guests as we would friends or relatives, in an informal way, offering our hospitality in rooms we hope we have made as pleasant and comfortable as possible.
This also means there are no restricted areas in our garden which we are happy to share with our visitors. So, our guests
are welcome to wander through the open grounds, sit on the sun bathed South facing terrace, or in the shade of the cluster of oak trees at the front of the house or enjoy the shade of the acacias
at the back towards the pond.
And of course, we will be more than delighted to help you plan your visits during your stay if you wish.
Down below are a few photos of the immediate surroundings of our house. Our garden is at its best from April to June before
the scorching summer sun makes it difficult for plants to survive the heat.
